Welcome, and thank you for showing an interest in Orchards Day Nursery.
The nursery was established in 1991 and, despite growing in size and stature over the years, has maintained the same high standard of care and education which has made us so many parents first choice for their childcare.
Settling In
The management and staff are aware that parents can take just as long to settle into ‘nursery life’ as their children, and are always on hand to offer advice and support.
Each child is expected to attend 3 ‘settling in’ sessions and staff will use this time to discuss your child’s particular requirements and address any concerns you may have.
Similarly, when a child moves up to the next group, visits are arranged and parents are offered the opportunity to view the rooms curriculum and meet the staff.
Opening Times
The nursery is open daily between the hours of 8:00am to 6:00pm from Monday to Friday. The nursery is closed on all bank and public holidays and between Christmas and New Year, for a period not exceeding 5 working days. There is no charge for this week, therefore, monthly fees are calculated over a 51 week year and divided into 12 equal monthly payments.
As a place has been allocated to each child full fees are payable during periods of illness or holidays.
